When You Give A Girl Crepe Paper

A vintage little red Tricycle decorated for the 4th of July with patriotic crepe papers, flags and flowers. A cute DIY project for patriotic porch decor.

My town has a Fourth Of July parade where the kids decorate their bicycles and ride down the street with all the pageantry of a Norman Rockwell painting. I love that schmaltzy sort of thing.

I think I'll fit right in.

In my dreams. There's still that small matter of a few missing tires.

I started out just putting a little bling on the wheels and next thing I knew I was making a crepe paper medallion for the basket full of petunias which was wrapped in a gingham tea towel.

    I had to stop myself.

BTW, I decided to keep Trixie on the porch instead of using her for garden decor. I couldn't let her get all rusty and crusty. Us older girls need to look out for each other.

Oh my goodness! Absolutely adorable. I bet the parade is something to see too. Wish we lived in a neighborhood that did something like that. So sweet.

Trixie looks great and I'm glad you are keeping her out of the dirt!

Don't let that missing wheel bother you, I didn't notice it the first time until you mentioned it. The same thing happened to me when I brought my 2 not as nice trikes home, then I noticed one had 2 different wheels on it and the other had something goofy but I can't even remember what it was and I don't even notice it now!

      Happy 4th!

Better than bunting. But I'm sure you have that somewhere, too. Go, Pam.

She looks adorable, and I'm glad she's on the porch for now...she's look like she's had plenty of adventure and needs a break to just be pretty!
