    Vintage Trailer Inspiration

Published by Pam Kessler | 365 words. · About 2 minutes to read this article. - 15 Comments

With summer vacations upon us, my mind once again starts drifting off to hitting the open road.

Just slowly working my way across America, stopping at roadside diners and camping at little mom and pop campgrounds along the way.

Preferably with a vintage trailer in tow.

And I would. If only they were big enough for my entire family, dogs and all.

Since I probably won't be able to find a trailer big enough to take ALL THE THINGS with me, for right now I'll just have to make do with looking at photos of them on Pinterest and checking out trailer related doodads online.

How about some super cute vintage trailer cupcake boxes. It's a digital printable from Simply Everyday Me on Etsy.

Or if you're more of a reader than actual camper, you can buy this book by Sisters On The Fly about camping in vintage trailers.

Side note - I saw them at the Country Living Fair last year. End of side note- because I have no idea why I had to tell you that.

I'm just starting out in the camper game. I would love a vintage camper, but I'm not sure that hubby would be on board. How can I find some vintage campers for sale so I can comparison shop? The price of the brand new one compared to the vintage plus the labor and supplies to get it road wworthy. Like I said we are real new yes at this and can use any advise, help, directions you give us.

Vintage Camper Trailers Magazine has listings of ones for sale. They are not selling the trailers themselves, just allowing people to list them for sale on their site, so keep in mind the prices are what the sellers think they're worth rather than what they might actually end up selling for in the end. But it's a good place to get an idea of pricing.

Our oldest daughter is selling their vintage camper, and I wish I had room for it in our yard. I'd fix it up and use it as a playhouse for our grands......and me. Oh, well, we can keep dreaming, right Pam? Great inspiration photos!

I too am obsessed with this whole vintage camper lifestyle thing. We are actually in the process of buying a new travel trailer (ew, new?) and I keep begging Brian to let me get my own tiny vintage camper. I'm not making much leeway. So I will just keep buying the books and magazines and dream. He is so mean!

So if you end up with one and you hit the open road, stop by Springfield, OR. I'll try and be happy for you 🙂

I love the little campers but I am with you, there has to be room for a lot! We did not find our camper for this year but I am still looking, now for next year. I found out one of my customers is a Sister On the Fly, how fun. Have a wonderful weekend. Alaina

I don't think you have to use the word "vintage" to describe a typewriter any more. It's implied! lol (Any idea when the last one was made and who made it?)

So true! I actually googled the question and found an article on Huffington Post stating that some people in India still use them and there are a few companies still making them (that was as of 2011). Who knew!

It would be so cute to have 1 of these little vintage trailers in the backyard for a kids' playhouse. & Mom could use it for a sanity break as needed.
